"We want that education by which character is formed,
strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded,
and by which one can stand on one's own feet."
- Swami Vivekananda
To promote the Hindu religion, Indian philosophy and culture, it is important that the knowledge of these is provided in a rather systematic way. With this objective in mind, Temple also offers a variety of classes on Dance,
Music, Yoga, Hindu Heritage, Gita, Sanskrit and Hindi. In addition, as an
additional service to community. There is also a small library at the Temple. Books can normally be borrowed for three weeks.
Since the Temple is frequently visited by various students from local
colleges and universities interested in learning more about Hinduism, special
introductory lectures on Hindu religion and Indian philosophy by the
learned community members can be arranged upon request. Usually these lectures
are arranged during Sunday services so as to be benificial to the larger
group of devotees also.
