Aradhana

In addition to religious activities, there are numerous cultural activities
that go on at the Temple during the year. A number of illustrious artists from India, locally from Detroit and around the country have given the performances at the Temple. These performances are typically
titled Aradhana .
The Aradhanas are usually organized once/twice a month on Fridays (do check
the website calendar) and are centered around
Hindusthani and Carnatic music styles or genres (both vocal, classical and
many other threads are performed). If there is a fifth Friday in the month,
we take that occasion to organize a Dance or Nritya
Aradhana, which also a special treat in itself.
One of the main objective of the Temple is to introduce the young
generation to Indian culture. In view of this, several programs are
specially organized for and by children and young adults.
