In March 2007, the Bharatiya Temple of Troy formed a new committee named the SEVA Committee
(Society Enrichment through Volunteer Activities) under the Executive Committee of the Temple (Please refer to the Mission Statement at the end of this note).
The SEVA committee would like to invite you to an Awareness Session for the Kick-off of its Social Service Project:

Mission Statement
The mission of the SEVA Committee is to serve as the first contact for the Temple members and non-members who may need assistance in family crisis situations (such as domestic disputes, illness, death etc.). Working through professional agencies, the committee pledges to assist in providing, to the extent possible, confidential counseling as well as legal, medical and other support as needed to deal with the family crises at hand. The committee is to arrange seminars to raise community awareness through seminars on family issues, and offer volunteer help in community projects.
