Prasad Requirements

  • Prasad should be freshly cooked for Sunday.

  • Prasad must be cooked after opening time of the temple on Sunday and must be ready for offering by 11:45 AM.

  • Prepare Prasad for  550 to 600 on a normal day and 700 to 750 on special days. once schools start number of plate consumption will go up. Special Events please contact the Prasad / Kitchen Committee.

  • Please do not use garlic or onion in the cooking

  • Prasad should consist of the following items.

  1. Rice or Pulav - 35 to 40 lbs

  2. Vegetable with gravy –(Eg. Potatoes– 50 lbs, Daal - 25 lbs.) - No sugar

  3. Naan / Chapatti –- 600 on a normal day and 800 on a special day

  4. Raita / Yogurt -– 8 Gallons

  5. Fruits or Dry Fruits

  6. Maha Prasad / Sweet (Any sweet eg - Payasam, Halwa, Kheer, or your choice)

  • Sponsors will be responsible for serving the Prasad, Cleaning the Kitchen Area and Dining Hall Tables & Chairs before & after the Prasad. Please follow Kitchen Cleaning Guidelines for the Sponsor.

  • Temple will provide water jugs and serving spoons. (Paper Plates, Spoons & Napkins will be provided as part of the package)

  • Fill up the water jugs for each table & keep 6 glasses on each table.

  • Sponsor(s) may use Temple’s cooking utensils to cook Prasad on Sunday at the temple. For renting temple appliances, please check Prasad Sponsor Guidlines.

  • Frying is not allowed in the kitchen.

  • Have two Prasad serving stations on either side of the counter.

  • Kitchen and dining hall must be vacated by 2:00 PM

Prasad Sponsor Guidelines

  • Please make sure kitchen is clean before you leave the temple. Please follow the kitchen cleaning guidelines. Temple office or custodian will make sure kitchen is clean.

  • If you are sponsoring the Sunday Prasad and if you want to bring groceries on Saturday, and then please make arrangements ahead of time with the Temple office because the Kitchen will be locked on Saturdays.

  • You can use restaurant size rice cookers, pressure cookers etc., from Temple for efficient cooking. Appliances should be returned in working conditions.

Kitchen Cleaning Guidelines

  • Clean all the Cooking Utensils, Spoons, Trays etc. and put them in the respective shelves.

  • Clean and Place all the Water Jugs back in its place.

  • Clean the kitchen, Inside & Outside Counters when you are done serving the Prasad.

  • Please do not put the leftovers in the refrigerator.

  • Please bring your own containers or ziplock bags to take home the left over food.

  • Please bring your own aluminium wrap & aluminium trays.

  • Please pay $275 for paper products.

  • Please make sure all the dirty paper cups & plates are cleaned from all the tables & thrown in the garbage bins.
